UNIFORMS

Blouberg International School students must exhibit their best possible appearance at all times.  The following are the school dress rules.

 

SCHOOL UNIFORM:  FOUNDATION STAGE

 

Summer Uniform (i.e. Term 1 & Term 4)

Girls & Boys

navy PE shorts

white or navy short sleeve golf shirt

navy v-neck jersey

navy or white  ankle socks

navy school hat / cap

sport shoes (white/navy)

Winter Uniform (i.e. Term 2 & Term 3)

Girls & Boys

school tracksuit

white or navy long sleeve golf shirt

navy v-neck jersey

navy or white ankle socks

plain navy  rain jacket (optional)

sport shoes (white/navy)

 

SCHOOL UNIFORM:  YEARS 1 – 7

 

Summer Uniform (i.e. Term 1 & Term 4)

Girls: Formal

school skirt (tartan)

fitted white short sleeved shirt (Yr 3 upwards)

navy school hat /cap

black school shoes (lace up, crossbar, T-bar)

 white ankle or knee-high socks

navy v-neck jersey (optional for summer)

navy blazer (Yr 3 upwards)

 

Boys: Formal

stone colour short or long pants (school supplier)

black or navy web belt (compulsory from KS3)

formal white short sleeved shirt (from Yr 3 upwards)

navy v-neck jersey (optional for summer)

black school shoes (lace up)

navy short socks

navy school hat/cap

navy blazer (from Yr 3 upwards)

 

Informal for girls and boys uniform: As above but with:

Instead of formal shirt:  white or navy short sleeved golf shirt

Sports uniform:

navy PE Shorts  OR school tracksuit

white or navy short sleeve golf shirt (Summer)  OR  white or navy long sleeve golf shirt (Winter)

sport shoes (white/navy) and white socks

Tog Bags                    Tog bags must be navy. Please note that tog bags with slogans printed on them  

                                  are not permitted.

GIRLS

Underwear        Underwear should be white, natural skin tone or navy in colour. 

Hair                  Hair of shoulder length must be tied back.

Hair is to be tied with only black, navy or white elastic and finished off, if preferred, with a navy or white ribbon/scrunchie.

Hair clasps are to be only brown or black bobby pins.

Hair must remain its natural colour.                       

  Jewellery           If ears are pierced, only a single pair of sleepers or studs may be worn (gold or silver only).  Earrings are to be worn in the lowest hole on the lobe.  Wristlet watches are to be of a conservative style.  Chains may only be worn if they offer special medical information or are of religious significance.  No additional jewellery is allowed.

No make-up or coloured nail polish is allowed.

BOYS

Hair                  Boys’ hair must be cut in a conservative college cut.  This means that the hair does not have an undercut, is not shorter than a number 3 clipper and remains its natural colour.  The fringe should not be longer than the eyebrows and hair at the back should not be over the collar.  Gel is not permitted.

 

Jewellery           Earrings are not to be worn.  Wristlet watches are to be of a conservative style.  Chains may only be worn if they offer special medical information or are of religious significance. No jewellery may be worn when playing sport
